## Game facts

- One shared daily verse, selected using the UTC calendar date.
- Three stages: book, chapter, then verse number.
- Normal Mode offers a small set of multiple-choice answers, with fewer choices when the available pool is small.
- God Mode lets players choose from the full available book, chapter, or verse lists.
- Maximum score: 1,000 points, split across book (400), chapter (350), and verse (250).
- Incorrect guesses reduce the score. Exhausting a stage's attempts reveals its answer and advances the game.
- No account is required. Game progress and preferences are saved in the current browser's local storage, not synced across devices.
- Scripture text is retrieved from [Bible API](https://bible-api.com/).
- The game requires JavaScript; the About page does not.

## Scope

Use the About page as the public reference for descriptions and rules. This file is an optional discovery aid, not a guarantee that any search or AI service will index or cite the site. It does not grant additional rights to third-party scripture content.
